WEIERSMULLER Teddy Bear Hand Puppet ~ 1920-30s Rare!

Willy Weiersmüller company began began crafting stuffed animals in Nuremberg in 1920. Little information is known but it probably stopped production in 1945. Their bears resemble the celebrated Bing's toys and usually have three claws and a long shaved snout. They also produced hand puppets that are really hard to find! This Teddy Bear Hand Puppet is a great example of their nice creations and uses the best materials. Its sweet expression with endearing back painted glass eyes and hand stitched nose is adorable. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. Don't miss the opportunity to add this collector’s dream puppet to your vintage toy collection!
