They produced incredible stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this adorable Tom Cat, a favorite among Steiff's beloved felines. This Kitty's expression with green plastic eyes is hard to resist. Like other toys of the time, Tom Cat was skilfully handcrafted in Germany circa 1970s using the finest mohair plush. The pictures can't capture how lustrous its plush is. Tom Cat has nylon whiskers and stitched nose/mouth. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a plastic finger tube for movement. Tom Cat has been used and shows age and play wear. No Steiff IDs are present. This sweet little puppet can't wait to join your vintage toy collection!
