Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. They produced amazing stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this classic design of the Tabby Cat, a favorite among plush collectors. Little kitty was finely handcrafted in Germany using the nicest mohair plush, with striped airbrushing work. Its eyes are plastic, dating this model circa 1970s. It has a stitched nose and mouth. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a plastic finger tube for movement. This puppet has been used and shows age and play wear. Steiff's IDs are no longer present.
