Like all Steiff creations, this adorable vintage Rabbit hand puppet is to fall in love with. Its glass eyes and long ears give this character the endearing expression that only old toys do. Little Bunny uses the finest mohair plush and was expertly handcrafted in Germany between 1959-67. Its nose and mouth are hand-stitched and the airbrushing work, with dark and golden hues, is very nice. The head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This sweet little puppet is in good used condition and retains the button in ear and yellow flag #0317,00. Note the bow shows wear and was redone. Certainly a great addition to your vintage toy collection!
Curiosity: The character "Mr. Bunny Rabbit" from the American TV Series "Captain Kangaroo" was a Steiff Rabbit Hand Puppet similar to this one!
