Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. It began in 1880 with the seamstress Margarete Steiff, and was later expanded by the creativity of her nephew, Richard Steiff, who invented the world's first Teddy bear with movable limbs. In 2005 the company released another of their celebrated Replica Series. This time they honoured Punchy Bears, the hand puppet Teddy of the 1911s. Expertly handcrafted in Germany, Punchy Bear uses the finest white mohair plush and has an endearing expression, with glass eyes and a hand-stitched nose. Its head is filled with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This replica comes with all IDs. His companion in caramel color is listed separately. Don't wait to welcome this charming Hand Puppet to join your vintage toy collection!
