Steiff has created some very sweet dog characters and Mopsy Pug as a hand puppet is certainly one of them. Its happy personality, with wide googly eyes and a cheerful felt tongue sticking out, is adorable! Similar to other Steiff toys of the time, Mopsy was finely handcrafted in Germany using the nicest mohair plush. This puppet no longer retains its IDs but its production was likely between 1968-78. Mopsy's head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a plastic finger tube for movement. This puppet is guaranteed to bring you playful moments, whether you love Pug dogs or are a vintage toy fan!
