Steiff has created a wide range of bird characters but none is as eye-catching as Lora Parrot. Portraying the long-tailed macaw native from South America, this bird is vibrant and adorable. Rarely seen as a plush animal, Lora is even more interesting as a hand puppet! This toy was finely handcrafted in Germany between 1968-1977 and uses the nicest mohair plush. Its rainbow-like colors are hard to capture in pictures. Lora has an incredible presence with a felt mask, plastic beak and two amusing flapping wings. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a plastic finger tube for movement. This playful little bird has been gently used and is complete with ALL IDs. Lora Parrot can't wait to join your vintage toy collection.
