Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. They produced amazing stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this classic design of the Leo Lion. Its sweet look with gorgeous airbrushing work and pronounced tipped mane is adorable. It has a naturally curved face that gives it a very unique expression. Its face has nylon whiskers and the nose/mouth is hand stitched. This puppet is special also because it's complete with ALL IDs. This model was expertly handmade in Germany using the finest mohair plush from 1968 to 1978. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a plastic finger tube for movement. Little Leo has been used but is still in very good shape. Only the paper chest tag is creased. Don't wait to add this special hand puppet to your vintage toy collection!
