This unmistakable character is even more attractive when it appears as a hand puppet! This toy is also special because it retains the US zone tag, making it an early model made from 1949-53. Steiff uses the finest mohair plush and it is not a surprise that Jocko looks very nice even after so many decades of life. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. It is overall in good condition but is missing the Steiff button and other IDs. Without a doubt this sweet old monkey puppet will be a joyful addition to your vintage toy collection!
