The Crocodile is one of the most iconic characters in a puppet show and Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, wouldn't let its wide range of adorable hand puppets missing such a classic figure! Gaty is a really fun hand puppet and has an incredible stage presence. Its extra long mouth with felt teeth is very eye-catching. It uses the nicest mohair plush with some equally remarkable airbrushing work. Gaty's eyes are glass and its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) with a cardboard finger tube for movement. This is an early model #317 finely handcrafted in Germany between 1956-58. It is gently used and full of personality. Welcome Gaty to your vintage toy collection!
