Here's a charming antique Skeleton Hand Puppet. This is a rare find from an old Punch & Judy toy theater. Like the Devil, this is one of the special characters, only found in early sets. It comes in unusual large size with a carved wooden head. It is also beautifully hand painted. Skeleton looks like it is coming out of bed with its comical stripped pajama-like costume. It has a fabric body with some lovely small wooden hands and legs. It is from German origin, likely made in the early 1900s. It has solid structure and displays well, but it shows age wear, gained during its many years of life. However its imperfections only give it an added layer of charm and personality. This great piece of history will certainly be a special addition to any antique toy or theater collection!
