Founded in 1925, KERSA is one of Europe's most known hand puppet makers. Their brand name stands for "Kreative Erzeugnisse Realisiert im Spielwaren Atelier", a German phrase that expresses their goal to produce artistic products that encourage children's imagination. This Pierrot hand puppet is an excellent example of KERSA's amazing craftsmanship, made in Mindelheim, Germany during the 1960s. His eye-catching expression, with a white face and glass googly eyes, is sure to enchant anyone. He wears the traditional French pantomime white costume with black pom-poms. This puppet has been loved and shows some age wear with yellowing of the satin fabric body. Also note a small open seam and a hole in one of the felt hands. The head is filled with soft material and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This is a rare character so don't miss the chance to add him to your vintage toy collection!
