Farnell Teddy Bear Hand Puppet ~ 1950s Rare!

One of the leading English Teddy Bear manufacturers, Alpha Farnell became a trademark in 1925 and produced wonderful soft toys up to 1960s, when it ceased production. It's believed that one of the Alpha Bears inspired the creation of Winnie the Pooh. This exquisite Teddy Bear Hand Puppet is a visual testament to Farnell's beauty! Carefully crafted from mohair plush with hand-stitched nose and enchanting glass eyes, this stunning piece is a must for collectors. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and it has felt paw pads. The Alpha Farnell's label stitched at the back dates this toy to circa 1950s. Its appearance attests to being enjoyed, evidenced by some bald spots and matted areas, yet it maintains a great deal of charm and personality. Little Teddy hand puppet will be a beloved addition to your vintage toy collection!
