Fritz Herbert Bross (1910-1976) was a German puppet maker and puppeteer that came from a family of wood sculptors. Originally trained as an engineer, he devoted his life to the world of puppets, developing some outstanding characters for puppeteers and theater companies alike. His creations combine a refined visual sensibility with a mastery of all technical aspects behind a professional puppet. His puppets are rare and highly sought after!
Here's one of his wonderful creations depicting a Princess Hand Puppet with the nicest expression. This puppet's head is beautifully carved and masterfully hand painted! She wears a wooden crown and is dressed with a gorgeous silk dress embellished with lace details. Similar to other mid-century Bross creations, this Princess character is marked "Bross" behind her neck. This hand puppet is in very good vintage condition and seems unused, with just some minor head scuffs and some light age stains on the dress. Don't miss the opportunity of adding this rare and remarkable hand puppet to your collection!
