Germany is home to countless plush brands that enchanted children with their amazing soft toys. Founded in 1954, Anker is one of these companies that also produced a variety of hand puppets. Famous for the comical Mule character Mufti, the company closed its doors in the late 70s. Here's a nice example of one of their hand puppets. A finely handcrafted mohair Red Fox with plastic eyes made circa 1960s. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement.
