Here's a handsome Officer hand puppet, one of the characters of the world renown Punch & Judy Theater. Officer's wooden head is finely carved and beautifully hand painted. The expression on his face is just amazing. His hands and legs are also made of wood and hand painted. The body is made from a flannel type of fabric. This puppet is a rare find from an old hand puppet set. His origin is unknown. He is likely German, made in the early 1900s. Officer's structure is solid and he displays very well, but also shows play wear, gained during his many years of entertainment. However his imperfections only give him an added layer of charm and personality. Whether you are a puppet fan or an antique collector, you will appreciate hanging around with this fantastic old puppet!
