Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. The company produced amazing stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this Fox. And this puppet is special not only because of its attractive appearance with expressive glass eyes but also because it was made from 1952-63, a relatively short production time. It was handcrafted in Germany using top quality mohair fur with very nice airbrushing work. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This puppet has been gently used and has nice coloring but it has lost the trademark button in ear and other tags.
