This Constable hand puppet is an old find from a Punch & Judy Set. The unique expression on his carved wooden head is adorable! The painting quality resembles watercolor and is very pleasing to look at. He has a fabric body with tiny wooden hands. This puppet was crafted in Germany circa 1930s and despite the signs of aging acquired over his lifetime, it continues to be a beautiful display piece. It shows age wear with scuffs, paint loss, soiling, repairs, stains and open seams. But his imperfections only add to his character, making this puppet a great addition to any old toy collection.
