Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. The company produced incredible stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this adorable Young Lion. This character is not seen often probably due to its short production time: 1954 to 1961. Its endearing glass eyes and embroidered nose, make this puppet one of the sweetest mid-century characters produced by Steiff. The airbrushing work is also remarkable. This toy is in good vintage condition with still retains Steiff's signature button in ear. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This rare hand puppet can't wait to be a special part of your toy collection!
