Step into the early days of Waldorf educational toys with this charming 1930s hand puppet of a Kasper character (Kasper is the German version of Mr Punch). Made in Germany following Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy, this toy was carefully handcrafted using natural materials. Its amazing expression, intentionally open and "unfinished", is designed to come alive through a child’s imagination. Its head is finely carved from a single block of linden wood, shaped into a soft, archetypal form with only suggestive features. Rounded eye hollows, a subtle nose and the natural wood grain warming through a gentle watercolor blush. The body is hand made from natural cotton and dressed in a simple manner with felted hands. Bearing almost a century old, this rare hand puppet is a soulful object of the anthroposophical craft tradition that you don't want to miss!
