Here's a very old Mr Punch hand puppet head from the world renown Punch and Judy Puppet Show! The carving and painting on this piece with a protruding nose and are remarkable. This puppet head is a rarity made in Germany circa late 19th Century. Please note that both tip of the hat and nose are chipped, and there is overall wear with scuffs, paint loss, spots, discoloration and other age and use related marks. The original cotton ruff that was once part of his costume is still attached to the neck. Despite its imperfections, it's a charming old head full of personality.
