For over 100 years, Schuco has created a diverse selection of quality tin toys as well as stuffed playthings like this rare Schuco Scotty Dog Hand Puppet. It was finely handcrafted in Germany circa 1950s. Its cartoon-like expression, with glass googly eyes, is adorable. Its body is made of short mohair plush. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This puppet has been loved and shows plush wear. Also the back of the eyes have lost some of the paint. The collar is not original. Scotty is very charming and expressive and can't wait to be part of your vintage toy collection!
