Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. The company produced amazing stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this classic design of Wittie the Owl. Its eye-catching look with expressive eyes and plastic beak is adorable. This puppet is in excellent condition and is complete with ALL IDs. It was finely handcrafted in Germany using the nicest mohair plus between 1959-67. It has very nice airbrushing details and two amusing flapping wings. Little black tufts on the top of its head complete its distinctive personality. Wittie's head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a plastic finger tube for movement. Little Owl can't wait to be part of your vintage toy collection!
