Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. The company produced incredible stuffed animals of every type, including super fun hand puppets, like this adorable Rabbit. Its endearing expression, with glass eyes, is an indication of an early model, likely made in the 50s. Little Bunny uses the finest mohair plush and like other toys of the time was expertly handcrafted in Germany. The airbrushing work, with dark and golden hues, is gorgeous. Rabbit's nose and mouth are hand-stitched and the ears have felt lining. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This sweet little puppet lost its Steiff IDs but not its charming personality. Bunny can't wait to join your vintage toy collection!
