The world of Steiff creations is vast and no species are left behind. Along with the most known bears, cats and dogs, the company also developed some very unusual characters. Paddy Walrus hand puppet is a great example of a marine mammal that is rarely seen as a soft toy. And this puppet is very special not only because of its endearing look but also because it is a "Steiff Exclusive", created for the iconic toy store FAO Schwarz. It was produced during 1962 only, making it extremely rare! Steiff uses the nicest mohair plush and the airbrushing work on this puppet is truly remarkable. It has glass googly eyes, protruding husks and two amusing flippers that are super fan to play with. Compared to other mid century hand puppets, Paddy is larger, measuring approximately 13in/33cm tall. This puppet is gently used with nice coloring but no longer retains any Steiff IDs. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. Don't miss the special opportunity to add this rarity to your vintage toy collection!
