Monkeys are legacy animals for Steiff and were produced since the early years of the company. This very old white Jocko puppet is a great example of that and was beautifully handmade in Germany from 1925 to 1928. Just by the way his hands are sewn you can tell how meticulously crafted this puppet was. His distinctive albino look, with pocket green eyes, gives him a captivating expression that is hard not to fall in love with. White Jocko's head is still firmly stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This puppet has been well loved and shows lots of play wear, gained during his almost 100 years of life. Steiff's trademark "Button in Ear" is no longer present, nor the accompanying tags. But White Jocko's imperfections only give him an added layer of charm and personality!!
- Condition: Used and pre-owned antique puppet. Without Steiff IDs and lots of play wear. Mohair plush is darkened, worn and with bald spots. Stain and small holes on the nose and hands. Pen markings inside the body. Please determine the condition by yourself, taking a close look at all pictures and asking questions.
