Teddy bear is one of Steiff's most beloved animals and he is even more charming in puppet form! This iconic character has a very sweet baby-like expression that is hard not to fall in love with. Like other toys of the time, this Teddy puppet was finely handcrafted in Germany. His endearing glass eyes are an indication of an early model, likely produced during the 1950s or early 60s. Steiff uses the nicest mohair plush and it is not a surprise that Teddy presents beautifully even after so many years. He has a hand-stitched nose, an open felt mouth and two big paws that are ready for a hug. His head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. Little Bear is missing his Steiff IDs and his bow. The mohair shows fold marks due to storage and some worn areas around the ears. Teddy can't wait to join your vintage toy collection!
