As other mid-century Steiff toys, this puppet was expertly handmade in Germany using the finest mohair plush. The gorgeous airbrushing work and his pronounced tipped mane give this character a gorgeous distressed look that everyone adores. He has expressive glass eyes, embroidered nose and mouth, and nylon whiskers. Leo's head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for head movement. Leo retains ALL its IDs, making this toy even more special for collectors! This puppet is gently used and is overall in very good condition.
