Based on a classic Steiff design, this Lion hand puppet has an adorable expression! As other Steiff toys of the 1960s, this puppet was expertly handmade in Germany using the finest mohair plush. The gorgeous airbrushing work and his pronounced tipped mane give this character a gorgeous distressed look that everyone adores. He has expressive glass eyes, embroidered nose and mouth, and nylon whiskers. Leo's head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for head movement. He has lost his Steiff IDs but is gently used and is overall in very good condition. This sweet little puppet will certainly be a great addition to any vintage toy collection!
