Along with the most known bears, cats and dogs, Steiff also developed some other very interesting characters like this Fox hand puppet. And this toy is special not just because its captivating look, with endearing glass eyes, but also due to the fact it is an early model with ear tag #317. Fox was handcrafted in Germany from 1952-58. The gorgeous airbrushing work gives an amazing distressed appearance to it. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This puppet has been loved and shows some plush wear, but still is in good condition. Welcome this sweet and uncommon hand puppet to your vintage toy collection!
