Collectors and cat lovers alike fall in love when a Steiff Tabby Cat appears as a hand puppet. And this Kitty's endearing expression with glass eyes and hand-stitched nose is adorable! Tabby puppet was finely handcrafted in Germany circa 1960s. Steiff uses the nicest mohair plush and it is not a surprise that Kitty presents beautifully even after so many years. The striped airbrushing work on this puppet is also remarkable. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This puppet retains Steiff's trademark button in ear and traces of the yellow flag. It is in overall good condition, but the bow is torn and there is a bald spot on the head. Little Kitty can't wait to join your vintage toy collection!
