Collectors and cat lovers alike fall in love when a Steiff Tabby Cat appears as a hand puppet. And this Kitty puppet has a lovely expression! Its endearing glass eyes are an indication of an early model handcrafted in Germany circa 1950-60s. Steiff uses the nicest mohair plush and it is not a surprise that this toy presents beautifully even after so many years. Kitty's nose/mouth is hand-stitched. The striped airbrushing performed on this puppet is also very nice. Tabby's head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. This puppet retains its Steiff button but is missing other IDs. No doubt this darling little puppet will be a great addition to any vintage toy collection!
