Dating back from 1915, Chad Valley is one of the most recognizable Toymakers in England. And no better than the children's TV character Sooty to embody Chad Valleys world of creations. This Sooty Bear Hand Puppet has a very sweet expression with hand stitched nose and mouth. It was carefully crafted from mohair plush and has rexine (oilcloth) paw pads. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and Chad Valley's label is still present and sewn on the side dating this toy to circa 1960s. This puppet has been loved. The rexine pads show a lot of wear. But its vintage appearance gives uniqueness and charm to its personality. Little Sooty Bear hand puppet can't wait to join your vintage toy collection!
