Here's a rare Skeleton hand puppet from the world renown Punch & Judy Show! Like the Devil, this is one of the special characters, only found in early sets. Skeleton comes in unusual large size and is highly desired by collectors. Its wooden head is nicely carved and hand painted. The paint/stucco shows wear and is peeling off in some areas. Skeleton looks like it is coming out of bed with its comical stripped pajama-like costume. It has some lovely small wooden hands and legs. This puppet is from German origin, likely made in the early 1900s. It has a solid structure but it is well loved and shows lots of wear, gained during its many years of life. However its imperfections give it an added layer of charm and personality. This great piece of history will certainly be a special addition to any antique toy or theater collection!
